Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 8, 2026
Quire is built so your documents never leave your device. This policy explains what that means in plain language, and the few places where another company is involved.
The short version: Quire has no account, no servers of its own, and no tracking. Your PDFs are processed on your phone and stay there. We do not collect, see, store, or sell your documents or your personal information.
Who this policy is from
This app is provided by Thijs Hiemstra ("we," "us," or "our"). You can reach us at contact@revisit.gallery.
Information we do not collect
We have designed Quire to need as little information as possible. We do not collect any of the following:
- Your documents or their contents. PDFs you open are processed locally and never uploaded to us.
- Account information, because there is no account and no sign up.
- Your name, email, phone number, or address.
- Your location.
- Your contacts, photos library, or other files beyond the ones you choose to open in the app.
- Behavioral tracking or advertising identifiers. We do not run third party analytics or ad networks.
How your documents are handled
Every operation Quire performs, including compressing, merging, splitting, adding a watermark, locking with a password, and text recognition, happens entirely on your device. Your files are stored only in the app's own space on your phone. When you delete a file in the app, it is removed from your device. Because nothing is uploaded, there is no copy of your documents anywhere else for us to access.
Subscriptions and purchases
Quire offers a paid subscription. Payments are handled by Apple through the App Store, and we never see your card details. To manage subscriptions across your devices and to provide a free trial, we use RevenueCat, a subscription management service. RevenueCat processes a randomly generated app user identifier and limited purchase information (such as which product you bought and your subscription status). This is used only to keep your subscription working and is not used to identify you personally.

Notifications
If you choose to turn on notifications, Quire may send you a notice when a large task finishes and an optional recap of how much space you have saved. These are scheduled on your device. You can turn them off at any time in your phone's settings.
Crash and performance data
Apple may provide us with anonymized, aggregated diagnostic and usage data through the App Store if you have opted in to share it with developers in your device settings. This data is not tied to your identity and is controlled by your own Apple settings. You can review the App Privacy details on the App Store listing for the current breakdown.
Children's privacy
Quire is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
Because your documents stay on your device, you remain in control of them at all times. You can delete files within the app, and you can delete the app to remove its stored data from your phone. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top and, where appropriate, note the change in the app. Continued use of Quire after an update means you accept the revised policy.
